Who is ready for some good old-fashioned fun?

The Newman PTC is hosting an outdoor movie night for the entire Newman community on Monday, August 26. Playing on the big screen will be “IF” (PG, 2024.)

Free bags of popcorn (assorted flavors) will be handed out, courtesy of the PTC.

We’ll be partnering with Sweet Tomatoes Pizza. They will be on site at Newman to grill up some pizzas for us! 10% of all sales that evening will be donated back to the Newman PTC. Below is what the menu will be:

• Slice of cheese: $3
• Slice of pepperoni: $4
• Mini cheese pizza (10″): $12
• Mini pepperoni pizza (10″): $13
• Mini veggie pizza (10″): $14
• Mini GF cheese pizza (10″): $14
• Water & soda: $2
• Lemonade: $3
• Movie candy: $3
• Whoopie pies: $3
• Cookies: $3
• GF Rice Krispie treats: $3
• Cash or Venmo will be accepted by Sweet Tomatoes.

The big event will take place in the field behind the school. We cannot start the movie until it is dark enough — likely around 7:15/7:30 p.m.

Feel free to come as early as 6:00 to order your dinner, grab a spot on the grass, lay out your blankets, and eat! Please RSVP here.

We are hoping this will be a nice way to bring people together just ahead of the 2024-25 school year!

Please note: Parks & Rec has asked that no bug spray or sunscreen be sprayed on the grass. Please apply on the pavement before heading down to the field.
