DESCRIPTION:The PTC presents: Newman’s last day of school celebration for teachers\, staff\, students and their families. \nPlease join us on the playground from 3:00-4:30 p.m. for free shaved ice from the That’s So Cool truck\, and free glitter tattoos and free hair art from Kaleidoscope Entertainment. \nPlease note: The last day of school is a half day for students with a dismissal time of 12:40 p.m. To avoid interference with teacher and staff goodbyes\, and the bus and drivelines\, we specifically chose this later time. Students can go home\, have some lunch\, and then come back to celebrate the start of summer! \nWe’ll be offering the “rainbow” flavor package from That’s So Cool\, which includes strawberry\, banana and blue vanilla. All of the flavors are dairy-free\, gluten-free and nut-free. \nNo tickets or check-in needed — simply come and enjoy! \n(NEDP students will be brought outside at 2:30 to enjoy the festivities.) \nQuestions? The Council’s food pantry serves 370 households\, including 233 kids. There are two ways to give: you can donate granola bars to the food pantry between April 16th and Mayrathon; donations can be dropped off in the bin by the Newman front office. DESCRIPTION:The Newman PTC is bringing back the beloved glow dance party for another year!  There will be a DJ\, interactive games\, dancing\, glow party favors\, free raffles\, and\, of course\, a PHOTO BOOTH! Raffles and glow party favors will be available in the Newman cafeteria. Please enter the event through the cafeteria doors. The dancing and photos will take place downstairs in the Newman gymnasium. \nThere will also be a “quiet room” set up in the staff lounge (just off of the cafeteria)\, filled with arts & crafts and board games\, for students who wish to take a break from the loud music and bright lights. \nPlease note: This event is for Newman students only. No older or younger siblings\, please. Drop-off is not recommended as many students also run out to the school playground\, and the PTC simply cannot keep eyes on everyone. DESCRIPTION:Who is ready for some good old-fashioned fun? \nThe Newman PTC is hosting an outdoor movie night for the entire Newman community on Monday\, August 26. Playing on the big screen will be “IF” (PG\, 2024.) \nFree bags of popcorn (assorted flavors) will be handed out\, courtesy of the PTC. \nWe’ll be partnering with Sweet Tomatoes Pizza. They will be on site at Newman to grill up some pizzas for us! 10% of all sales that evening will be donated back to the Newman PTC. Below is what the menu will be: \n\nSlice of cheese: $3\nSlice of pepperoni: $4\nMini cheese pizza (10″): $12\nMini pepperoni pizza (10″): $13\nMini veggie pizza (10″): $14\nMini GF cheese pizza (10″): $14\nWater & soda: $2\nLemonade: $3\nMovie candy: $3\nWhoopie pies: $3\nCookies: $3\nGF Rice Krispie treats: $3\nCash or Venmo will be accepted by Sweet Tomatoes.\n\nThere will be a red carpet and a step and repeat (large photo backdrop) to be used for event photography. (Any paparazzi out there want to help with photos?
