Needham's July 4th Celebration

The Needham Exchange Club has provided many years of community service to the Town with its signature gift, the Fourth of July Celebration. This event, beginning many years ago as a parade in celebration of our Country’s independence, has evolved into a two day event featuring food, music and fireworks on the evening of the third and a Grand Parade on the morning of the fourth.

Festivities begin at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, July 3rd, with food and entertainment followed by the fireworks display at dark. The Celebration continues on Thursday, July 4th beginning at 8:30 A.M with the Charles River YMCA Road Race. For registration information click here.  At 9:00 A.M. there will be a raising of our nation’s flag in the Town Common followed by the Grand Parade with a craft fair and flea market, athletic events, food and entertainment after the parade at Memorial Park.
